  • Dentistry scares me! How will my child cope?

You can help in your child’s cooperation by preparing your child for the first dental visit.

  • Does visiting a Pediatric Dentist help an anxious child?

As Pediatric dentists, we are specially trained in helping anxious children feel secure during dental treatment. Our pediatric dental office is designed especially for children and our staff members enjoy working with kids. So, most children are calm, comfortable and confident in our practice. We also offer specialized techniques to help children who are extremely apprehensive.

  • What management techniques would a Pediatric Dentist use?

As pediatric dentists, we enjoy treating children. However, undergoing dental treatment requires voluntary cooperation from the child and some phases of dental treatment can be unpleasant for children. The Behaviour Guidance Techniques that we use help guide children through the dental experience and make it a pleasant one. Often these techniques alone enable us to obtain cooperation from a fearful and reluctant child.
Occasionally a child's behaviour during treatment requires assertive management to protect him or her from possible injury. Voice control (speaking calmly but firmly) usually takes care of it. Some children, especially toddlers, may need gentle restraint of the arms or legs as well.
Happy Tooth Clinic is one of the few pediatric dentistry facilities in India that offers treatment under Minimal Sedation. Happy or Sweet Gas is used to help the child feel calm and relaxed while undergoing dental treatment, making the delivery of care efficient. The proven safety of this sedation technique also ensures that the child leaves the practice straight after treatment, ready to pursue the rest of the day’s routine. Midazolam Oral Sedation is used in toddlers to make them calm and relaxed for simple treatment procedures.
We recommend General Anaesthesia for a pre-cooperative child and for Children with Special Needsrequiring extensive dental treatment.
